This is fabulous, Julie! I've read about the Gelli Plate but never tried it. Must look into it. I love the textures and the lines and colors. Gorgeous!

I've tried a basic form of linocut but that Gelli Plate makes it so much more interesting. I love the colours in this.

Working again with the linocut I made a while ago, the background was made by rolling acrylic paints onto a 'Gelli Plate' and taking a print. The linocut plate was then rolled with black ink and printed onto the background. For those who are wondering, a Gelli Plate is a printing plate made of some form of clear plastic. It creates prints in much the same way that gelatine will do when is made up and set.
