Jon, a lovely painting, nice use of colour. You use very thin washes - this makes it your style. Do you feel a little bit tentative when you paint or are you very free? I can't tell. Regarding the figure in my painting Jazza on the beach, the only thing I would say is to narrow down your figures from the waist down. I have practiced painting figures in the past, it does come more natural now but I still get the odd occasion nothing goes right and I have to tear the thing up - it's great with oil or acrylic you can just paint over.
