A painting of the famous artist, Dame Laura Knight who was born near to where I live. I really love her artwork particularly her circus paintings, and I painted this portrait of her earlier this year. I asked the NPG for kind permission to use one of their photos as reference and added in (my own) hand holding a paintbrush to signify her life as an artist.
