I'm a troubled soul, full of angst. But then I would have been if I'd been a plumber .... It's one of many myths about artists - quite a few of us are obscenely cheerful.. Wonderful light in this painting, and, despite your soul being full of hope there is an atmosphere of, if not menace, at least mystery. My first thought was "Blair Witch Project" - a film with a better title and premise than the script ever delivered...

I find this amazing and inspiring, Jo. Would love to know how it was executed.

Robert, I love your comment about some artists being obscenely cheerful...and that you would have been the same even if you had been a plumber!! Great And John, it's all done with glazing, building up gradualy, takes for ever but then another aspect I think of being an artist is the OCD approach. I think we have to be a bit obsesive about what we do or we wouldn't do it.
