Ah, yes, the red is still thriving on the IOW. The Lake District still has plenty but the greys are creeping ever closer. Is this pastel? Whatever, it's gorgeous, top drawer in fact. Brian

Thank you all for your generous comments. I paint in mixed media, using Chromacolour Acrylic ( very thinly like watercolour), pastel pencils and touch up with quality coloured pencils, such as Caran d'Ache luminance. John
