agreed, about the number of postings as well

I can see the work in it - whether I could do this in 28 hours or not... well, I doubt it! It's a marvellous portrait of a characterful dog, and in this instance I can understand why it's been left unframed.

I am very taken with your collection so far. However, this one just stands out. Marvellous as Robert says.

He's a real cutie :)

How cute - really lovely little dog and your portrait is charming. If I have to be honest, I think I would have left out the dried grasses behind the railings as I feel they possibly complicate the painting a bit too much and argue a bit with the basket the dog is in. However, as always - I am not the artist and only the viewer and I don't know what you had in your mind when you made all the decisions about the painting. I am sure your friend is over the moon with your lovely painting.

I think you may be right, now I look at it. I did need a neutral, pale colour there to bring the dog forward, and the colour of the dead grass etc is actually quite cool versus the warm dark grey black of the fur. What to leve in and what to leave out always a problem. The bit that was difficult to resolve was the bicycle handlebars and straps as they had to read properly but not be too dominant. I think I missed a trick with the grasses though. Cheers john
