Completed as a commision for a client , whose son had attended the famous bull run in Spain as part of a stag weekend. As would be a young man's wont at such an event,he was quite fuelled up with alcohol , which made him somewhat oblivious to the fact, (found out later) that he was actually chased at one point by a bull called Cappucino that went on , in the same event to kill a man!!!!! I checked these facts myself whilst researching images to help me produce this composite work. Capturing a look of terror on the face of a man who I had only met for five minutes and had only two photos of, both in which he was relaxed and smiling , proved to be a bigger challenge than trying to shoehorn a running man, a bull and a crowd of running people into a background made up from three different images. I added the tickertape, flags etc to create effect. For anyone interested in how commissions return ,I sold the work for £250 , which for a total of 35 hours work is less than a tradesman would charge for his labour alone, but I did enjoy the whole process.
