Love this composition really want to walk round that curve!!

Joe, I'm becoming a real fan of yours, you can make a great painting out of anything. I love this one.....great greens!

Greens are easy when you start to think of all the colours that you can mix to create green. I found a crazy mix the other day...wait for it.......Winsdor Orange (red shade) and Thalo Green (yellow shade) makes a fantastic dark green, through to Brown.

This picture enchants me. It is so unusual and so nice. I love the sharp edges in the paint of the foreground path, and the beautiful group of trees. I am learning lots from your pictures, thank you.

Hi Shirley, it was painted on location. Sometimes I use the scene in front of me as inspiration, and change the composition to suit my mood. I move things around and change the colours. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But I always think... "I'm in charge of this painting - I will paint it how it feels - not how it dictates". Thank you.

The large stones change colour as the sun moves round during the day, but the evergreen trees always stay the same colour, even in winter.
