Well, you made me look anyway. I think your gallery speaks for itself. You sure know what you're doing. I like the Jumper the best, it's alive and original. So, what is it?

Ah, now that would be telling....lets see if anybody can guess...! I like your web site http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/chito-gonzaga.html

Looks like a thumb screw of some description. Not really bothered what it is because I am just enjoying the design, the colours and the lovely way it has been painted.

Its a clothes line tie, screwed to a rendered wall. The light was playing funny games that day and created a small shadow on the upper left, and 2 long shadows on the right.

Thea, how on earth do you know what a thumb screw looks like!!!? I must agree though, it looks painful, the image, not the painting which is good. Sorry, no idea, and I've looked long and hard! You'd better tell us soon!

Louise, I don't mean a torture thumb screw - would know anything about them!!. I think what I meant was a wing nut. But actually I've changed my option and if I hadn't read Joe's reveal of what it actually is I would have thought it was a one of those cleats that you wind blind cords around. I rather like these 'quiz night' paintings - gets us all thinking.

pls check out my new web site http://www.joehargreavesart.com

Sorry Joe, I stupidly thought your answer was somebody elses guess! A clothes line tie, well I knew all along!

Funny how everyday things, painted in a different light, can look different.
