Hi again Joanna, commented on this one on pmp site and happy to do it again here, the colours are so superb, they really make this painting work, especially love your rendering of the water in the swimming pool and the lovely orangey pink highlights on the rubber ring and on the girl, if this doesn't sum up the joys of hot summer days then nothing does!

Thank you everyone for your comments for for my first picture i accidentally deleted. All the comments are very much appreciated.

Hi again Joanna, thanks for your lovely comment on my minature aceo pastel portrait of the blue eyed kitten, i aways knew about aceo's but it wasn't until i started using the paintmyphoto reference photo's that i realised that they have a whole group that just draw and paint aceo's, and looking at them i knew straight away that i could do just as good a job on them and away i went with that first one the kitten, which is now residing on eBay along with 6 of my A4 sized pet portraits all for sale in the online auctions, the last day of which is tomorrow! so it is quite an exciting time for me! thanks again for your comment, bye for now xx

I know how hard it is to capture that dazzling quality of water in paint - which isn't to say I've ever succeeded in doing it! This is just shimmering with light - incredible bit of painting, highly skilfully done.

You've captured that bright sunlight beautifully.

Hello Joanna you beat me to it with your comment on mine, so thank you . This is excellent, I am particularly drawn to her feet dabbling in the water. The colours are fabulous, and that popping pink reflecting on her sunny face is great. Love it !

Robert has summed it up nicely and Beverley has mentioned the pink!

This is a dazzling painting- ingenious colour , light & composition
