Old house #8
The last in my "old house" series (which was supposed to be only 4 paintings, but got I carried away!), this is a miner's cottage in Victoria, Australia and typical of many built during the gold rush in the late 1800s, around the cities of Bendigo and Ballarat. Most towns sprung up as "tents" and had as many as 70 hotels (pubs), but most are now long gone, with some smaller towns, old houses and a few pubs.
