Charles III as Prince of Wales

The first time I felt sorry for the royal family was when I saw Charles having to go through this ludicrous ceremony, with its incredibly stilted olde-worlde language, probably invented in the first place by David Lloyd George: "liege man of life and limb", for God's sake. As if putting the poor sod through Gordonstoun wasn't bad enough. But anyway, back to the painting: it was very good; it's just a pity that it conjures up such a woefully inappropriate ceremony: it's a better painting than the occasion warranted.

You certainly caught him. Looking at it now it seems like a point ages ago in history - somehow emphasises how inappropriate it seems nowadays.

Many thanks, Robert and Marjorie.

Very good Jiri. I particularly like the reflection on his knuckle.

Thank you Linda, yeah, the reflection looks exeptionally good.

Great painting Jiri, you are a wonderful portrait artist.

This is a superb portrait of the young Charles. Brilliant work Jiri.

Very impressive painting indeed. I like all these details, and atmosphere in here...
