Love the effect Jill it works really well. Did you use tissue paper to achieve the cabbage leaf pattern?

Hi Barry. Thanks for your kind comments. It was done using a base of gesso and then using a piece of stiff paper pressed on and taken off quickly while it was still wet. Then painted on after it had all dried. It’s not until you put colour on that you see the shapes and textures really. A Woodland just seemed to appear!
