This is coming along splendidly, Jill. You have the solidity and that real 'bulldog' type expression, which boxers do have. He looks as though he was a strong chap in his time...sorry he's not with you any longer....You are getting great depth in this piece, carry on with the good work.

Max looks as if he was a real character. It is so sad when we lose such wonderful friends, but it is lovely to have such a beautiful portrait as a memory. I think this is going to develop into a very fine finished work.

Max in not yet finished as you can see. He's painted on velour paper. Unfortunately Max is no longer with us, his brother was Reg the boxer who I painted earlier for my friend. Hope you like him. Any comments would be helpful. Thanks for looking.
