Just superb Jennifer even the beak is slightly out of focus for those eyes. Excellent

Well, He got my attention! Great work. (I still struggle with both fur and feathers, tho I insist on painting them!)

Struggled? Never! If you did it doesn't show Jennifer. The feather structure is excellent, especially around the head area. It's the eyes though, brilliant.

Dennis you are very kind. But I really must get to grips with feathers!!

Well, Skylar that was just what I wanted, your attention!!! ha ha...pleased you like him though.

Oh! Fiona I really did struggle. Have to say I am quite disappointed with him but will, I am sure, try again!! Thanks for your comment.

I think you have made a superb painting and the fur is really good. Sometimes the struggle is worth it Jennifer.

Doesn't look as if you struggled Jennifer, this is lovely.

This caught my eye straight away. Lovely, great for a first attempt.

Thank you, Adele and Barry your comments are very much appreciated.

Thanks Sandra - will certainly have another go.

That bird has attitude, as does your painting - love it Jennifer!

It does look feathery, so works for me.

Many thanks, Ibolya and Frank I really do appreciate your comments.

I love his feathers well done Jennifer.

Thanks Carole, just wish his feathers looked more preened!

Love your interpretation of the feathers. Brilliant Job!

Linda, I really appreciate your lovely comment. But I still say he looks as though he is having a 'bad feather day'!!

Excellent work Jennifef

You are very kind, Dermot, really appreciate your comment.

First bird I have painted in detail, thought because I had mastered fur I could paint feathers! no! Really struggled with this one, he should have sleek, preened feathers. Not look as though he has had a 'bad feather day'!! but will definately have another go at a later date. Soft pastels, pastel pencils on Claire Fontaine Pastel Mat. 30cm x 39cm
