It is a huge complement to someone when you have spent time and effort making them such a personal present. I can see why your husband was so pleased. It is a lovely painting.

Presumably the picture adorns the wall of his shed? Lovely observation of perspective, with maybe the bottom door hinge needing a little adjustment to point more downwards to its right. A lovely pen and wash and something that both you and your husband can be justly proud.
