Have you posted this one before? I have a fairly good visual memory (though not a lot of vision just now) and I'm sure I've seen a version of this before. Anyway - it's an arresting image.

I look like this when I lose my car keys Jeff! It's compelling to look at.

Obviously I've seen the Courbet before, by the way! What I MEANT was, have you ever painted this copy before? I think someone did - it may well not have been you.

A guess you will be seeing a sort of theme in my work, I like faces and as I am learning, thought it best to concentrate on the one subject. I read somewhere that a good way to learn was to copy, well try and copy an old master. So here is my go at Gustave Courbets painting The Desperate Man This is painted on 20 x 16 canvas board with acrylics. Thanks for taking time to look and for all your comments.
