A Derwent pencil drawing on 40"x60" Bainbridge #80 of Greta Garbo. This piece was very challenging, not only with regards to size, but also due to the dramatic lighting. The flash here washed away the rich tones. I have sincere respect and admiration for artists that work large, I know all too well the pain and the struggle of creating a bigger than life portrait. To me size matters when judging an artwork, indeed.
