Not old, but ancient wisdom in those eyes, lost to us I sometimes feel.

I did this guy after seeing a video clip of a chimp who had been mistreated, rescued and nursed back to health & released into an area with other rehabilitated chimps where he’d be safe. When his cage was opened and he came out, he surveyed the freedom around him, turned back to his rescuers and hugged each one of them. I think that demonstrates an emotional intelligence missing from many humans Katy, and wisdom we are very far from understanding.
