Jane, I'm envious of your Russian trip. I looked up Vitaly, wonderful work, I can understand your enthusiasm. I love your looser approach, a style I would certainly love to adopt myself. I look forward to seeing more of your new style.

Gorgeous. ( I have a lovely pink bougainvillea which I hope will return to its glory as the days lengthen. And I can paint it!)

Thank you Sarah, Fiona, Petra and Shirly for your comments . It is so encouraging to get your feedback. Shirley, the bougainvillea is a wonderful blossom to paint and in Crete it is always in flower.

Oil on canvas. 40cm x 50cm. Home again after my workshop in Russia . I approached this subject with renewed enthusiasm and abandon. I feel it is looser than my previous work. Comments please......
