Cece and Kit in the park by Janet Jasper

Beautiful painting, Janet.

My son sent me a photo of his children sitting engrossed in each other in the park with a note saying he hoped it would inspire me to make a painting from it. It did indeed inspire me as I liked the composition and was particularly struck by how small the children were in relation to the large tree. In a way they look too small against it, but I was very careful measuring the proportions (again and again!) and they are correct. I ended up with a rather conventional style ( for me) but enjoyed doing it.
