Pixie Nude lying face down

love the style to this , almost pointillist.very effective with the mixture of runs created. Really nice work.

Thanks Andre. The runs are created once the knife work Is completely dry by using a magenta ( in this case, bit some times in ultramarine) turpsy wash, but just flattening a broad brush against the canvas and pressing it so the wash runs down (I.e. It&#39;s not an all over wash). Because of the impasto paint it does not run straight down, but gets caught in some of the grooves. I lay the canvas flat then so they don&#39;t all run off. Because this last layer is then &#39;lean over fat&#39; it crackles with time and makes it more interesting.<br />I am happy for anyone to copy the style ( and subject) and let me know how you get on!

I am guessing - no offence you mean Pixel nude. It does create a smashing effect.
