Thank everyone. Yes it's blue skies and 23 degrees here today. Just been taking some photos and doing a few sketches of local scenes to work on in the studio, in between a coffee etc. It's hard but someone has to do it!

I'm so jealous, I was out yesterday taking photos in horrendous weather, perhaps with some imagination I can attempt to make my landscape as vibrant as this, a wonderfully painted scene.

I know Benissa very well Janet, having a villa in Jalon, and I do love this style of work that you are producing, excellent.

I live in Moraira but we stayed at a farm in Benissa for some time where I did this painting. I have a studio, basically a shop that I rent, in Tabaira in Moraira, so if you want to come along and paint there when you are next out at your Villa, let me know. <br />Andre rain inspired paintings an be good too!

Thanks Janet, I love Moraira and always like to visit the restaurants by the marina. My place is next door (up towards Bernia) to where my friends David and Jean were tragically shot in March last year, you will have heard of course, so it&#39;s all been a terrible shock. <br /><br />Keep up the good work anyway, well done.

Alan, yes tragic about the shooting, in such a peaceful place; seems unbelievable. My hairdresser, Karen was close to them too. Small world eh?

Thank you Carole. The soil around here is a rich red ( I made it a bit more orangey than it is) and it is stunning against the greenery. It is still very green in this area; bit further south and it goes a bit spaghetti western!

It reminds of a famous big name work - no not Jasper, but can&#39;t remember. However it is a lovely piece.

Derek. It is nice that it reminds you of a famous piece, whatever it is, I&#39;m flattered; but it really is just the view from the farm we stayed in! :)

Thank you Dennis. Yes I love colour and my work seems to have got more colourful since living in Spain. I have changed my 'palette' in clothes colours too. Mind you I still love a limited palette in muted colours too! I just like painting!
