Jane thanks so much for your kind comment on my posting 'Together' This prompted me to look at your gallery and I see that, in different ways, we are not so far apart. Your work is very much simplifted in that it concentrates on the main image and so avoids fussiness - a skill some artists find so difficult. In addition this is so well painted and I am surprised it hasn't attracted any comments - it is a lovely piece.

Michael, thank you so much for your lovely comments about my painting. As an amateur painter encouraging comments are very welcome, especially from an established artist. Like you I find simplicity in painting and drawing very appealing and an effect I try to achieve. Hope you like my more recent posts too and I look forward to viewing more of your work.
