Acrylic on board, 14” x 11”. There’s a stretch of fenland road just outside our village that loops round from one end of the village to the other; even though it’s off the main road to Cambridge it often feels totally isolated, and it feels different depending on the season. There’s a particular spot which is full of birdsong but it’s a bit of a blind corner, and as there’s no pavement you have to watch ahead to see if anything is coming. It’s also the bit where the wind cuts you in half across the fields.
