Alfred in Bacton Woods

There goes a dog with purpose! The way you've captured his movement is absolutely lovely. I like the way you've got lots of detail and strength of line with the gnarly roots in the bottom left corner, sweeping up and fading out into the top right. Charming :)

Pen and wash is my favourite technique and this is a lovely example of it, so I agree with the above comments, Jamie. Also: a beautiful composition, well done!

Many thanks for all of your comments. I nearly abandoned this picture when at the beginning I accidentally splattered ink from my dip pen over it. I intergrated these mistaken blobs into the trees & foilage. Thanks again!
