I've been called far worse! Seriously though, you're right. You just have that drive to create pictures. This one is lovely ! I like the soft colours that you've used and the jumble of confused looking sheep!

Jamie, out of all the reasons I've heard of why people do anything artistic, your description is the most honest one. You don't put pen to paper, or brush to canvas to get your name in print or to make a few shillings, although that's a bonus. It's always nice to get a pat on the back for anything we do, we all enjoy a little praise, that's why some of us post on this site....and to learn ....in my case, praise or criticism in healthy amounts is good for us. Your honesty shows in your paintings and it's refreshing, I always enjoy looking at your pictures. My reason for painting...... I must be a masochist!!!!! Hope my comment isn't too phylosophical for you.

By the way Jamie....love this one!!!

Quick wash & line drawing of sheep near Burgh Castle, Great Yarmouth. Somebody said about me the other day that I was an aspiring artist. I thought about this a bit and the thought didn't fit right with me. And then I thought - 'No, I just want to make pictures, and this is a drive within me which I can't control. I want to make pictures that tell a little bit of a story. Not some big philosophy behind it - I just want to make pictures! What do others think/feel about this... any suggestions?
