Jamie, I think you've achieved what your are trying to do. There is heaps of light and form in your sketches.

Another line & wash of a couple of horses in a field. With these Horse sketches I have concentrated on the horses rather than the context of the setting. By now my subjects may seem boring but I am just trying to explore the form of horses and emphasise the light with as few strokes as possible. I prefer line & wash as oppossed to pure water colour in this as I am more confident sketching quickly in pen. And this is another point. I haven't much time and so am attempting to get these subjects down as quickly as I can. Thus the tidyness goes out of the window. But that was never a strength of mine anyway!
