after the service
sepia ink and nib pen on board: it goes with the other one. After a funeral we all need a "debrief"; over the years I've observed groups of people stood around, smoking, chatting, weeping, laughing, avoiding. Sometimes young men stand there, trying to look "macho" and with a concession to good taste, black tie, black trousers, white shirt hanging out of the trousers; sometimes women looking quite formidable, always in the background the funeral director. looking smart and professionally unmoved. As you can see it is hurried, there was a sense of urgency to get this down, so perhaps it's unfinished.... what do you think?
