STAG

STAG
Comments

This picture is really begining to loosen up, the colour blending is excellent. I think his front right leg is too short??? try comparing it with his other legs. The deer family have quite long legs it makes them so elegant .

Well, this is obviously a red deer stag, which is an animal I've never seen in the flesh so am reluctant to make comment on; but there is just something, and it may be the point Sylvia's picked up, that doesn't quite gel.... I like the head and antlers, which you'd have thought were the most difficult bits, but apart from anything else, the left foreleg hoof gets a bit lost... I've had several looks at this, and still can't make my mind up (b helpful that is, I know!). Sky is great, and I really like the way you've used these pencils.

Sylvia: Jeannette: Robert: Was watching a wildlife programme on BeeB, when Stag appeared, grabbed my camera, but the animal had moved so photo had fuzzy legs, am now looking for a still stag with legs. don,t like the blending it looks reasonable on original and awful on here.
