This basin mire — a waterlogged boggy depression — in Cumbria is designated a Natural Nature Reserve. A place of extraordinary tranquility and beauty in all seasons. Mixed media: charcoal (Nitram liquid and batons), watersoluble graphite (Derwent XL) and hard pastels (Conté) on tinted cold-pressed Bockingford paper.
