I love the silent country lanes in the height of summer when it is so sunny the colours are bleached and bright and the only movement is the shimmer of the heat haze! This reminds me of that.

This is the road leading into the village where I live. At the bottom of the hill is a stream and pool where in times gone by the farmer would dip the sheep, hence the name of the road??
