Yes - again you've got the light in this; and beautiful, rich colour in the flowers; and, as Sarah says, the freshness - a lightness of touch that can be achieved in oil (but isn't always..).

Thank you all for your kind comments - I have to say that I really enjoyed painting this having deliberately set up the complimentary colour arrangement of the orange flowers and the blue vase. If there are any pressed glass collectors out there you may be interested to know that the vase was made in Manchester by John Derbyshire circa 1880. Regards to all. Jack
