Just superb. great tones and lovely composition

A really good crop of pictures on the front page today, and yours stands out for being a monochrome sketch full of tonal accuracy, conveying an interesting and - as Diana says - well composed scene.

An absolutely super piece! One of my favorites among the recent postings. It has so successfully conveyed the frosty atmosphere and yet imparts a lovely wintry warmth.

Thanks to all - really enjiyed working on this scene and will be producing some oil paintings on this subject.
