Girl portrait

None quite like folk. I' ve had a similar reaction with one of my daughters, not 'un-friended' mind. Nevertheless a really well executed portrait Ivan. Something you can be satisfied with, and a lesson learnt..... Never post without their permission, as I've learnt.

Whoops. A good piece of work however. I did an image of a burlesque dancer for a 50th birthday party, posted on here, but was warned off not to do a portrait or even anything with a likeness as she is paranoid about how she looks even in photos. Dodgy things these ladies.

The portrait is very beautiful, Ivan. I thought this girl must be a little weird and she is not worthy of your friendship. So from now on I too will have to hask you permission for made your portraits or I shall lose your friendship. Don't feel bad, Ivan!

Thanks for the support guys, I probably should keep drawing actresses only. :-) The Hollywood actresses don't hate me for drawing them :-) I personally would never react like this even if I don't like someone's work. You need to have some basic respect, especially when it's obvious that nobody's trying to insult you or ridicule you. Even on the internet.

Gorgeous eyes. Gorgeous girl. What's the problem??

Hi Ivan, I am a landscape and seascape artist so not much on my credentials of why this beautiful young women reacted to this wonderful portrait. All I know this drawing stopped me in my tracks, which is strange for me. Her eyes you have captured are indeed lovely but I sense a little sadness. My Daughter is beautiful like this young lady but does not have the confidence to realise their own loveliness, they sometimes feel their embarrassed by this. Maybe this is why such a reaction. As an older lady I wish they embraced their beauty before it fades, there is so much pressure on the youth for perfection. Personally I love this portrait.

People often have a distorted image of themselves, particularly young women. but this is a lovely portrait!
