I like the colours in this painting and the landscape in silhouette. Very striking.

Excellent painting! A great mix of colours and finished off perfectly with the small light on the tower.

Beautiful work, I really like it Rhian. Best wishes, Bill

Thankyou very much for your kind comments, i wasn't entirely happy with it though...but at least i am giving it a go after last week 's desision to give up on painting alltogether.!!! after reading what all you lovely folk have said on here, its spurred me on to be less critical of my work, and to just go for it.! thanks again all. best wishes. irene.

Glad to see that your starting to believe in yourself Irene, it would be a shame to see such talent, and, love of art, go to waste. Anytime you want a friend to talk to, you just say the word. Love, Bill

Hello stranger. I second the above comment. It would seem that my art has died along with my heart, but im glad to see you found the will to pick up the brushes again.

Hello you, thanks for dropping in to take a look.....long time no hear from? and for your comments. we all on here are really missing your gorgeous paintings!!! sounds as though you could do with a friend too matt, i have emailed you and hope you get it ok. i just want to say to you matt,...something you once said to me "for it holds as much truth for you..as it did me, when i was feeling so very sad, you said..." just do what you gotta do...and above all...! "KEEP THE FAITH" you will..paint again....and you "MUST" never deny your one true love, or deny others that love to see it. take care my friend. irene.

Irene , whilst looking for something totally different I found your entire gallery, many I haven't seen before and I can honestly say there isn't one don't like. Your photos are brilliant too. I'm still struggling, have been in terrible pain for over a week and it shows- just put two more small ones on that I did just to try out different papers; not happy with either but they were just an experiment. Think I'll go back to watercolours.

Hello Diana, so sorry to hear that you have been in a lot of pain, its a horrid thing to deal with i think to that the painkillers you take, (are you on any?) start to lose there efftetive powers when you have been on them long term. is it possible to try something different.? i know what i would surgest you try.....BUT...not on here..lol. i think you may know what i mean.!!!! its surposed to be "WONDERFULL" for pain.!!! can't think why it isn't prescribed. not that i WOULD would know , as have only been told.!!! this cold weather most certainly does not help. i too am sitting here in pain, its best described as ""a sensation that just makes you want to..SCREAM, as it never abbates". and drives you to disraction!! sometimes a couple of glasses of wine...or similar can help!!! doesn't take the pain away...but it does make you feel happier about it. lol. thanks for stopping bye to look at my gallery, and for your lovely comments, much appriecated from a top notch artist as yourself. going to have a peek at your posts. take care . best wishes.. irene.

What difficulty I had finding this again. Searching under galleries only brought up two of yours. Finally found it in portfolios. Yes I've had constant pain for 6 years so I know how you feel. Opiates and wine don't mic though and have their own problems if you know what I mean. Haven't tried what you suggest but have often thought about it. I tried sweeping snow last Monday - stupid mistake-and had a severe flare up which is why I sounded so "off". Believe me I scream often. So frustrating when you can't plane anything or go out. Been housebound for over a week and just can't concentrate.
