Pebbles by Marian Pettitt

Your portrait of Pebbles is lovely Marian. He/she is definitely my kind of cat. I am intrigued thsat you use watercolour pencils with your watercolours. Do they give you finer lines for fur and whiskers?

Edna : Thankyou for your comment. I build up the colours with layers of watercolour pencil, painstakingly hair by hair almost. Then use a very fine brush with water and in some areas extra water colour paints to bring it all to life. A touch of white gouache on the eyes and whiskers finishes it off.
