Like it - and you've said all you needed to say: whereas 9 out of 10 of us would have worried this to death, adding a touch here and a touch there, you've allowed the tones to do the work: the quite big sky and its simplicity helps a lot as well to make this a calm and very appealing painting indeed. If I had any money, I'd buy it!

Gorgeous - I agree with the above. I especially like the pointig to the detail of the stones and bank and then it soothes away.

Thanks very much for your kind comments. I made the switch from watercolour to oils in 2012 and found it very rewarding - today I have been wrestling with a scene in watercolours but I won't surrender just yet!
