full of wonder :-) i can imagine a unicorn appearing from the light at the very end of the wood :-) really excellent trees too :-)

Beautiful striking colours, a lovely scene.

Very striking, I like the sun beams shining through :)

Beautiful, Ian. The sunlight through the trees is lovely and lifts the spirits when it's so wet outside.

Lovely Ian - composition, colour, light effects really good

Very nice indeed. reminds me of walks in my facourite, local park. Just waiting for the coulurs to come int the trees. Really enjoyed this one. John

I agree with everything said above Ian, super painting.

The thing is to enhance the colour by using acrylic, and yet keep the subtlety of watercolour - not easy. Because acrylic gives clear tonal differences that are hard to obtain in watercolour, so one tends to indulge in and celebrate these and produce starker paintings .... I like the painting, but - shoot me down in flames as you will - I think some of the subtleties have been sacrificed to the stronger contrasts; you'll never get the subtleties of watercolour with acrylic, and so usually have to resort to various shades of white or at least opaque paint to mimic them. Still - as I say - I like the painting.

Beautiful vibrant painting

A bolder use of colour to my usual watercolours.
