A NORTHERN TOWN
Comments

Ian thank you so much for your lovely comments on my paintings. I do hope you weren't offended by the remark about how many to post. There are no rules, it's just what most people do. As you can see today, new posts are coming thick and fast and you'd miss half of them. Is this also Rawtenstall? It looks like the main road through near the temperance bar (not the shopping street). I do like your style; I've never used pen in mine. I'm puzzled by the strength of the colours. How do you get such strong yet still transparent colours in watercolour? or is it just an optical illusion from the pen work? Terrifically skilled drawing and persepective. I love the one of Blackstone Edge but woudl like to ask, where is Marne Dale? That's somewhere I haven't heard of that looks really nice.

Like this one too, great style Agree that it looks like Rawtenstall (?) , if so it does look familiar from my last visit a few years ago.
