Super watercolour Holger, the water is done really well, it looks clear and deep, as it often is in quarries.

Good subject, nicely painted. Like the way you understated the otherwise intrusive motorway activity.

Thank you for the comments John, Fiona and Willie. Yes it was that tension between the quiet clear and deep water and the road & rail passing almost above it, that motivated me to paint this.
