Moving always takes time to settle in Spence. The tongue on this Yak grabs the viewer.

So pleased that you liked McTavish. Just been on holiday to Scotland and was surprised to find out that in Scotland Highland Cattle are on the endangered list. There original colour was black and grey but Queen Victoria preferred them to be brown so over time they were bred to be brown reducing their gene pool.

Not done much painting for a while as we’ve been busy packing up and moving house. There seems to be a lot of Highland Cow paintings appearing in art galleries and garden centres so I’ve created another one. It’s painted in watercolour on canvas.
