A party on the Seine... I tried to portray all the action on the peir and enjoyed the individual stories happening in that moment. I wanted to keep it loose and slightly undefined to create a sense of movement. I wipe out my lights at the beginning of the painting and often find what emerges is worth keeping without overworking.
