Pintados by Heinz Sterzenbach
Pintados, Acrylic Collage, Canvas, 29,5x29,5 inch, 2007. The title of the picture originates from the Spanish designation of the Geoglyphe or also in German: "scratching picture", which one can see in the center of the picture. It is called "Giant Atacamba" and is in the Atacamba desert in Chile. Pintados are soil designs in the Chilean high country. The figures and designs are in the range between Antofagasta and Valparaiso, about 100 km far away from the Iquique.
