Lovely details and use of colour in this leaf beetle Heather

Accurate enough to describe the beetle, yet not so detailed as to be a scientific study - so you've got a far more interesting painting as a result. And unusual - how many of us paint beetles? Just don't start on spiders - I have a bit of a problem with spiders.......

You've really captured the iridescent colouring of this beetle Heather. A very well executed detailed painting which I imagine is difficult to achieve in watercolour!
