Three of my friend's dogs provided a Christmas project and were a lovely change from my normal work. Although the same breed of dog they have different personalities and hopefully that comes through in their expressions! I attempted this painting in a different way to normal in that after the preliminary sketch I did most of the background first - the fence behind them - and then worked the rest of the painting left to right.
