Wow! These are certainly something different Heather, are they applique or embroidered, it's difficult to see all the detail. Stunning, all of them!

Hi Christine Thank you for your lovely comments. I am managing this on-line gallery for my Mother, Heather Hems so will pass on your comments to her. I have also set up a website so you can see the whole collection and read about her lifes work at www.thebluebellegallery.co.uk. All the ppictures are indeed embroidered. After years of working on the collection she managed to open a gallery to put the work on display independently in Colchester but an unfortunate fire caused by a heater meant she had to close down the the gallery. Fortunately the panels didn't get damaged but all her work she had on sale was ruined. As resilient as she is she moved to Lyndhurst and managed to start again. If you are ever visiting the area do pop in and see the work first hand, they really are amazing in really life. Regards Mary Deas
