Pony in Troutbeck Cumbria

Lovely little Skewbald, Hazel. Nice soft feel in the background. For your greens I would try using indigo + cadmium yellows in various proportions. Paynes grey with a yellow makes a good green too. They can be so hard to get right.

I hate painting greens as well but the wet in wet on the pony is extremely well done.

Thank you all for your kind comments. Tried Paynes grey with yellow Ruth, a much better green from this combination, much deeper colour instead of my usual wishy washy pale greens.

The pony is lovely, he would have stood out more with a strong tone behind his legs. Sap green with a touch of cobalt works for me for a green. Keep going!
