A miniature knot by Cairistiona Baker

Such a delightful painting of this knot bird, lovely miniature form and pose Cairistiona!

... always clever use of those knots!

Clever! (Oh, and the bird appears to be missing its left foot). Great recycling!

Thanks. No, it’s left foot is in the water, aka the grain of the wood as is the other foot. The right foot finished at a hole in the wood that I thought looked like a ripple for the foot.

Got it! The left foot (talon) is in the water (obviously, I am lacking enough imagination to see that!). Perhaps, consider spreading the blue patch downwards and spread it around the knot and the birds legs. All the same, it is still a great composition; I love it.

This looks bigger than it is! It is just a little wider than your hand. I painted this little knot onto wood with a knot.
