White-crowned sparrow by Cairistiona Baker
I was inspired by a story I read when deciding to paint this bird. This little bird visited Cley-next-the-sea in North Norfolk. There were so many bird watchers visiting in the hopes of sighting the bird as it was rare. The donations taken raised enough money to replace a window in the local church and so this little bird was painted into the stained glass as a memory. The full details can be found on the internet. Hand-painted onto reclaimed wood.
